Duckies in a barrel Cake! Perfect for a Baby shower!

The cake is a chocolate cake, the icing is made of chocolate buttercream and the ducks are in fondant.
If you can't get your filanges on fondant, contact me on 09916036718 and I can supply fondant to you.

Chocolate buttercream frosting :
You will need :
2cups of icing sugar
1 small packet of cocoa powder - about 1/2 cup
a little bit of milk or cream
1 cup of butter.
vanilla essence

Cream the butter till its nice and pale, white and fluffy with an electric beater. Add in the sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla essense and beat with an electric beater. Add in few tablespoons of milk till it reaches the consistency you are happy with.
Everything here is to taste. Taste the frosting , if its not sweet add more icing sugar, if its too dry add another tablespoon of milk. If its not chocolaty enough, add more cocoa.

Give it a try! Its to die for!! Yummy chocolate buttercream!

Now for the chocolate cake:
you will need :
2eggs
vanilla essence
1 and 3/4 cup of flour
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
1 and 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 and 1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup of boiling hot water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 tsp salt

Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cocoa powder well and set aside.
Beat together the eggs, oil, sugar and vanilla essence.
Now combine the flour mixture with the egg mixture and add in a cup of boiling water at the end.
To spice things up a bit you can add the tablespoon or 2 of rum! Ooooh yum yum!
mix well and bake in a preheated oven 170-180 degrees, till a knife in the center comes out clean!
Enjoy, wait till its completely cold to frost it!

Super Yummy Moist Red Velvet Cupcakes!!

Ingredients :
Baking Powder 1/4tsp
Baking Soda 1/2 tsp
Plain Granulated Sugar 3/4 cup
Flour 1 & 1/4 cup
Cocoa Powder 1tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Vinegar 1/2 tsp
Buttermilk 1/2 cup - can be substituted with 1/2 tsp of Vinegar in 1/2 cup of milk
Red food coloring - 1 tbsp
Butter 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
Egg 1

For the Icing:
Whipping Cream 1/3 cup
Icing Sugar 1/3 cup
Vanilla Essence 1/2 tsp
Cream Cheese 1/3 cup


Mix flour, Salt, Baking Powder, Cocoa Powder and sift well.
Preheat oven to 170 deg C.
Mix buttermilk with food coloring.
Cream butter, sugar, vanilla extract and egg. Alternate flour and milk mixture.. start and end with flour and Add milk mixture in between.
Add the baking soda to vinegar and quickly add it to the batter and mix well, divide it into cupcake liners and bake for 18 - 20 mins.
